Hamn Resort - Senja

Hamn means Harbour and this delightful scenic “hamlet” on the beautiful island of Senja offers the perfect relaxing location. Senja is the Norwegian Mainland’s largest island and is a place of great beauty. It is possible to experience high mountain plateau’s and glorious sandy beaches, primeval forests and rare orchids all in one day. Here you may see Sea Eagles, Golden Eagles, Reindeer, and Lynx. Stunning mountain ranges tower over beautiful fjords and the seas around this island provide rich fishing for big cod, halibut, coalfish and wolf fish. This region was populated in the 1600’s and much history has been preserved. The Troll Park (Trolls are in important part of Norwegian mythology) is well worth a visit and is a great theme park for all the family.

Accommodation:

The resort of Hamn consists of luxurious apartments, a hotel, bar and restaurant overlooking the picturesque harbor and ocean. Apartments cater for up to six persons in three bedrooms with well furnished lounge/dining and fitted kitchen area. Single and twin bedded rooms are available in the hotel. Boat hire is available on a self use basis and guided sea fishing trips can be arranged. Fly fishing is possible in nearby streams and lakes. This region has a run of sea trout, char and salmon. A stay at Hamn will be most memorable for the stunning scenery, abundant wildlife, total relaxation and a wealth of activities to suit all age groups.
